The legend begins in the 1930s with Albert Fouquet, a Parisian aristocrat and perfume connoisseur. During a summer on the French Riviera, Albert crossed paths with a young American student named John F. Kennedy. Enchanted by Albert's unique scent, JFK persuaded him to part with a sample. Upon returning to the U.S., Kennedy wrote to Albert, praising the fragrance's reception among his friends and requested eight samples, adding, "and if your production allows, another one for Bob." This whimsical request led Albert to label the bottles "Eight & Bob," giving birth to the brand's iconic name.
