Dave Allison and Carlos Aviles shared a flat in Sydney. Both were obsessed with eyewear. Both worked for rival houses, which made frames the one subject that was off limits in their own kitchen.
In 2010 they stopped competing and made Sunday Somewhere instead. The name carries the whole idea. A Sunday, somewhere, with nothing asked of you.
The frames are Italian acetate and Carl Zeiss glass, drawn on the seventies and finished with a small palm tree on the temple tip. They are made for a country where you actually squint, which is why we carry them here.
