Megève is a village in the French Alps and this is a log cabin in it, at night, with the fire going.

Vetiver does the work. It is a grass root rather than a wood, which is why it smells of cold earth as much as of timber, and it is the note that stops this becoming a generic winter fragrance.

Earthy, woody, and made for the months when everything else in the range is too bright.
