Mercerising gives merino a smoother surface and a slight sheen. Vaenn used it for the Remsen, knitted sheer with a soft stretch and one bare shoulder.

With nothing on the bare side to take the weight, the knit has to hold itself. The close fit is what lets it.

In black, it needs something underneath unless you intend otherwise. Among our Vaenn knits it is the evening one. The wide neck crews are for day.
