We have known Christian and Ren for years, and the friendship has grown the way the best ones do, around a shared appreciation for craft, provenance and place.
He founded his house in Melbourne, bringing generations of European craftsmanship into the way men actually live here. The clothes are designed in Melbourne for the Melbourne man and made by specialist artisans in Italy and Portugal, in exceptional cloth and natural fibres, built to be worn often and to gather character rather than become precious. He calls it refined scruffiness. Craftsmanship without stiffness, elegance without performance.
The Peninsula has become part of his language too. In 2023 he designed a collection around the idea of the Polperro man, a way of dressing that moves easily between Melbourne and the coast, city and country, refinement and informality. That conversation has only deepened since, and his work feels instinctively at home here because some of it was made for here.
This is not simply a collection we have chosen to stock. It is the continuation of a long friendship and a shared idea about Australian style and the way we want to live.
