A cylinder heel puts the weight on a circle. A stiletto puts it on a point. The circle is steadier.

The Detour stands on a 6.5cm cylinder heel with a squared toe. A curved ankle strap closes with a round, slightly oversized buckle that sits at the ankle like jewellery. The strap edges are painted to finish.
