The topline is cut wide. That one decision lets a boot go over a jean instead of under it. It works under a skirt for the same reason.

Zoe Kratzmann made the Degree in kid suede, lined it in leather and set it on a fine 6cm heel with a rubber sole. The toe is pointed, which carries the line of the leg on past the ankle.

After a concert in the city there is still the walk back to the car. Black suede over a straight jean, a 6cm heel on a rubber sole, covers it without a change of shoes.
