Ramie is cut from the stem of a nettle. It has been spun for six thousand years, it is stronger wet than dry and it holds a shape linen gives up on by mid-afternoon.

The Altitude is a full-length dress cut in it, which means structure at the shoulder and fluid weight below without any lining doing the work. It creases and the crease falls out.

Floss is the warmer of the two, closer to shell than to white, and it wears better against tanned skin in February.
