Trudon Figuerie Intermezzo Candle 800g

Louis XIV loved figs enough that his gardener, Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie, planted more than seven hundred fig trees at Versailles and gave them a space of their own. It was called the Figuerie.

Trudon's candle is that garden in early spring. Cedar leaf, fig leaves and ethereal humus at the top, damp earth before any fruit. Hyacinth, copaiba and a green bouquet in the heart. Sandalwood, tonka, patchouli and moss crystals underneath. Émilie Bouge composed it.

A green scent is quieter than a warm one and three wicks give it the reach for a large room. Trudon suggests a mantelpiece or a dinner table. Sixteen centimetres high, give or take, because an artisan in Vinci finishes each glass by hand. 110 to 120 hours. When the wax is gone the glass holds a small potted fig on a sunny sill.
