Hyacinth sits in the heart of Figuerie. It is the note that makes the green smell of spring, where most fig scents live in late summer.
Cedar leaf, fig leaves and ethereal humus open it. Hyacinth, copaiba and a green bouquet follow. Sandalwood, tonka, Tasuki patchouli and moss crystals are the base. Émilie Bouge wrote it as light and shade, vegetal freshness against woody depth.
Five wicks and more than two hundred hours, 21.5 centimetres high and 18 across. Poured in Normandy into glass from Vinci in Tuscany, finished by hand. The bubbles in the glass are left as they are.
At this size the green carries through an entrance hall or an open-plan room, where a single wick of it would disappear. When it is finished the glass is an ice bucket for summer.
