Trudon called its 2026 holiday collection La Nuit des Glaces, the night of mirrors. It is set in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles on a Christmas evening in the eighteenth century, when the firelight was caught by every glass in the room and thrown back again.
Cabinet des Miroirs is named for an eighteenth-century boudoir, the small room where a lady withdrew or received in private. Karine Vinchon-Spehner made it an accord of amber, iris absolute and cedarwood, powdery rather than sweet. Cinnamon, oil lamp and eau de Cologne at the top. Lavender, iris and violet in the heart. Resin, cedar, patchouli and an animalic accord underneath.
The glass is made by hand in Tuscany and lined inside with silver leaf laid by hand, then lacquered to a mirror finish. Each scent has its own colour and for Cabinet des Miroirs it is silver. The candle is poured in Trudon's workshop in Normandy and comes in a mirrored silver box printed in gold.
The Classic is 270g. It stands 10.5cm high and burns for 50 to 55 hours.
It is a limited edition, made for this Christmas.
