Trudon Altair Classic Candle 270g

Peony is one of the softest flowers in perfumery. Émilie Bouge wrapped it in suede.

Altaïr is floral and woody. Raspberry and peony at the top. Agarwood, sandalwood and rose in the heart. Cedarwood and leather underneath. Agarwood is oud. It gives the peony something dark to sit in. Trudon calls the result warm and enveloping, which undersells the leather.

The collection takes the desert as its subject, reworked in warm amber tones with geometric lines and sculptural light. Fifty to fifty-five hours, poured in Normandy into glass from Vinci in Tuscany, finished by hand. Small bubbles are left in the glass. Burnt down, it takes a few short garden roses, the flower already in its heart.
