Second Female Dazzle Trousers, Jet Stream

Satin in a pale colour is a nerve test. Any shine at all and a light trouser starts behaving like eveningwear, which is why most of them are cut plain and left alone.

Second Female did the opposite. Pleats at the front and a tie belt through the waist, and that is what saves them. The pleats give the satin somewhere to go, so the leg falls in a column instead of clinging, and the belt lets you decide how much waist you want on the day. Mid waist, wide through a straight leg, concealed zip with a hook and button behind it. Nothing on the outside but the tie.

Jet stream is Second Female's cream and there is a faint gold sitting under the shine, which is what keeps it off the bridal end of pale. Against skin it warms. Against white it looks like a decision.

Down here the good clothes come out in daylight. Lunch starts at one, and by the time anyone thinks about lighting something it is dark and nobody has been home. A satin trouser that only works after six is no use at all.
