Underneath it Realm Origin cut a ruched V-neckline. Ruching gathers the cloth into the seam, which gives the neckline its structure at the shoulder while the body stays soft.

With the brooch pinned at the neck it is an evening top. Unpinned, in French navy, it sits under a jacket on a working day.
