François Rabelais was a physician, a monk and the funniest writer of the French Renaissance, and he was born into the Frapin family.

L'Humaniste is dedicated to him, which means it had to be intelligent rather than merely pleasant. Gin, juniper and lime over something warmer, dry and slightly irreverent.

The most literary fragrance in the shop, and it wears far more easily than that sounds.
