The brow line is the whole frame. It is the heaviest part of the acetate and the first thing the eye reads, which is why a strong one changes a face and a weak one does nothing.

The Finsbury is built around that line, in acetate heavy enough to carry it.

Oliver Goldsmith began in 1926 on Poland Street in London's West End, where Philip Oliver Goldsmith made spectacle frames by hand in tortoiseshell. That same year the house became the first to make spectacle frames in a material other than metal.

Ink. Assertive. Not for everybody.

Fit. A heavy brow frame, so it reads strong rather than delicate. Acetate, which means an optician can warm and adjust the temples if they sit wide.

Clean the lenses with the cloth and case supplied. Acetate softens in heat, so never leave them on a dashboard. Take them off with both hands.
