Nasomatto's own account of Absinth runs to two sentences. The fragrance aims to evoke degrees of hysteria. It is the result of a quest to stimulate irresponsible behaviour.
Alessandro Gualtieri says nothing more. What the bottle gives up is green and bitter: the wormwood the spirit is named for, with none of its anise, drying down to something closer to root and bark. Nasomatto publishes no notes, so this is our reading with the bottle open.
It was one of the first fragrances the house released. The cap is olive wood, the liquid is extrait de parfum and it is made in Italy.
Extrait sits close to the skin. One application at the base of the throat, then leave it alone.
