Embroidery is worked over the print on the Alexia, so the watercolour floral has a raised surface in places.

The floral was drawn for Mos The Label alone, on an ivory ground. A V neckline, long blouson sleeves gathered at the cuff and a tiered skirt that builds its volume toward the hem of a short dress.

Emma bought it for the print. It is now past its season and reduced. Of the Mos The Label prints we have carried, the Tara paisley is the bolder one and the Alexia the softer.

MOS The Label is a Sydney label and cuts in Australian sizes, which are the same as UK sizes. Pieces in letter sizes convert on the house chart: an XS is an AU 6, S an AU 8, M an AU 10, L an AU 12, XL an AU 14 and XXL an AU 16. The measurements below are the house's own, in centimetres, taken from the body rather than the garment.

Choosing between two sizes

The house publishes body measurements rather than general fit advice. It gives its model's so you can compare. She is 170cm with an 82cm bust, 62cm waist and 92cm hip. She wears an 8. Any style we know to run differently is noted in its Fit line.

How to measure

Bust: around the fullest part, arms down.
Waist: around the narrowest part of the waistline.
Hip: around the widest part, legs together.

Caring for MOS The Label

The house recommends a cold hand wash or a cold gentle machine cycle to make each piece last. The care label sewn into the piece has the specific instructions.
