Aurélien Guichard describes Cologne Cédrat as a citron peel broken between the fingers. A citrus is best judged in warm weather, over several days, on skin and on a shirt collar. Six millilitres with a spray gives it that.
The house uses Italian citron oil and holds it with black pepper from Madagascar, pink pepper from Argentina and a tea note of mate from Paraguay. That is why the freshness lasts in a way a cologne usually does not.
The small bottle goes through security in a washbag and comes out in another climate. That is a fair test of any citrus.
