Ksubi put the cross on the back of the 4x4 Biggie, in a contrasting orange on brown. The front carries nothing at all.

It is Ksubi's oversized short sleeve tee in cotton jersey. From behind it is recognisably Ksubi. From the front it is a plain brown tee that goes anywhere.

That balance is why we bought it. It is now past season and marked down, in one size L.

Fit. Oversized. Size down for a closer line.

Ksubi publishes one chart for its menswear. It links each letter size to two jean sizes and to the body measurements behind them. The house gives them in inches and we have converted them to centimetres. The thing to know is that a Ksubi jean size is not your waist measurement: a 30 is cut for a 32-inch body waist, about 81cm. A 32 is cut for a 34-inch waist, about 86cm.

Choosing between two sizes

Each Ksubi jean has its own cut, from a high-rise skinny to an oversized shape. Measure yourself against the chart and take the closest size. Where a style runs smaller or larger, the house notes it on that piece. So do we, in its Fit line.

How to measure

Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms, tape level across the back.
Waist: around the natural waist, where your trousers sit.
Hip: around the fullest part, feet together.
