The label began as a conversation between New York and Melbourne, sisters asking why there was no luxury handbag brand of the kind they wanted to carry. The Jolie is their baguette. A short flap body in black heritage leather with a high shine, the Dylan Kain name in gold beneath the clasp and a slip pocket inside.

A baguette is a shape that lives under the arm. The long leather strap adjusts through gold keepers, so this one rides up close under the arm or drops to the hip across the body.

At a cellar door tasting both hands are taken, a glass in one and the tasting notes in the other. Worn across the body, the bag is the one thing nobody has to hold.
