Trudon

Trudon Tadine Classic Candle 270g

$159.00

An Englishman named Edward Foxhall found sandalwood on the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia in 1840. Europe had not smelled it before.

Within sixty years it had a pedigree. Candana in Sanskrit, sandal in Arabic. An ointment for hair and skin, a remedy, and eventually a perfume. Tadine is Trudon's account of that arrival, built on the wood itself rather than on a memory of it.

Poured in Normandy, in glass hand blown in Tuscany. Fifty-five to sixty hours.
