Trudon Spiritus Sancti Classic Candle 270g

Latin for the Holy Spirit, spoken at prayer and at the sign of the cross. The candle is exactly as literal as that.

Aldehydes and incense at the top. Lily of the valley in the heart. Benzoin and labdanum at the base. The aldehydes give it the cold brightness of a stone interior. The resins underneath are the warmth of the candles burning in it.

Fifty-five to sixty hours, poured in Normandy into glass from Vinci in Tuscany, finished by hand. The wick is straightened by hand while the wax is still soft. Best in a room with height. When it is spent the glass takes a few short white garden roses.
