Cade is the oil of a juniper, dark and smoky. It is the reason Odalisque never goes sweet.
Lemon and orange open it. Orange blossom is the heart. Vanilla and cade wood sit together at the base, so the warmth underneath has smoke running through it. It is the pale curl from a narghile in Trudon's brief, the painter's odalisque in a room of citrus and bark.
Seventy grams, poured at the Trudon workshop in Normandy into glass from Vinci in Tuscany, finished by hand. As the wax sets, each wick is straightened by hand. Eighteen to twenty hours. When the wax is gone the glass takes one stem of orange blossom.
