Citrus suits a reed. A reed releases at one steady level, so the brightness never has to survive a pool of hot wax.

Lemon, myrtle and thyme at the top. Black fig, cedarwood, lavender and pine in the heart. Cashmere wood, musk and patchouli underneath. It is dry and herbal under the fruit. The scent is the garden of the villa Empress Eugénie had built on Cap Martin in 1894.

350ml in fluted Trudon green glass with the gold emblem, eight black rattan reeds and an aluminium collar. Three to four months, nothing to light. Of the Trudon diffusers on our shelf it is the fresh one. Joséphine is the floral and Figuerie the green, earthy one.
