Most selvedge makes you earn it. Two months of rigid cloth, the cold soak, the whole initiation. Christian Kimber decided against it.
Rose Street is woven from organic Italian selvedge and made in Porto, then stone-washed before it reaches you. Selvedge comes off an old shuttle loom running narrow and slow, which is where the density comes from and the self-finished edge inside the outseam. The wash pulls the rigidity out without taking the substance with it. You get the cloth without the ceremony.
The proportions are older than most denim sold now. Wide through the seat, a gentle taper below the knee, a rise that sits where a trouser sits rather than where a jean usually does. Branded rivets, leather tag, a printed pocket lining nobody but you will ever see.
Down here you dress once. You leave at nine for something outside and you are still out at eight, and the day changes its mind about what it is somewhere around four. Mid indigo is the shade that takes that without comment.
