Stretch in a cotton jacket is usually a way of hiding a bad pattern. Here it is doing the opposite.

The Fitzroy is cut with room through the body the way a chore jacket should be. The small amount of stretch in the Italian cotton is what stops that room turning into slump at the shoulder after a season. Four patch pockets, collar rather than lapel, unlined so it packs flat.

Khaki is the original workwear colour and the most useful one here. It goes with denim, which most jackets in this shape do not.
