Christian Kimber Ice Cotton Double Layer T-Shirt, Taupe and White

A t-shirt gives itself away at the collar. This one is doubled.

The cloth is Italian ice cotton, spun from long-staple fibre twisted under high tension. The twist pulls the surface flat so almost nothing stands up off the yarn, which is why more of it meets skin at once and heat leaves faster. It is cold in the hand before you put it on. It is crease resistant for the same reason, and because that sits in the construction rather than in a finish, there is nothing on it to wash out.

Christian Kimber lays a second layer at the collar and the sleeve, made in Portugal from the Italian cloth. The white sits under the taupe and shows as a line rather than a contrast, which is the whole idea.
