Acler Montebello Midi Dress, Black

The shape of the Montebello comes from gathering rather than seams. The cloth is drawn in at the waist and let out above and below it, so the fabric does the shaping and there is no hard line where a panel would sit.

Acler cut it in a woven crepe with enough weight to hold the gathers without them falling into creases. Sculpted through the body, midi in length, in black.

At a long table in winter someone sits with the fire at their back. One side of the night is too warm and the other is cold. Black crepe looks at midnight the way it did at seven.
