Acler Bromton Mini Dress

Most sculpted minis will not let you sit down. This one will.

Dupion is a silk-style weave with slubs running through it, spun from a double cocoon and woven here with stretch. That is what holds the architecture at the shoulder and still gives at the waist when you take a chair.

The print is placed rather than repeated, positioned to the pattern piece before the dress was cut. Marquee warm, walk to it cold. The shape survives both.
