Aniline leather is coloured with dye alone, with no pigment coat sealed over the surface. The hide stays open and supple, which is what lets lambskin gather into a waistband without going stiff.

That is the reason a leather jogger is possible at all. The Lauren has a ruched elasticated waist and cuffed ankles. The lambskin is soft enough that neither turns rigid. Second Skin make them in Java and Bali.

Aniline leather darkens with wear. In whiskey they will go deeper where you sit and where your hands rest.
