Vaenn Nassau Sheer Cardigan, Cloud

Mercerising is a treatment where yarn is held under tension in caustic soda, which swells the fibre and gives it a permanent lustre. It is usually done to cotton. Doing it to merino is unusual.

That is what gives the Nassau its hand, somewhere between silk and cashmere at a weight closer to tissue. Sheer knit, soft stretch, rolled edges rather than ribbed.

Cloud over a slip in November. It is a layer rather than a jumper.
