Lavender has carried men's fragrance since the barbershop. Le Passant keeps the lavender and takes the rest somewhere quieter.
ORMAIE's own line for it is a man who appears for a moment and is gone, while his perfume stays. The scent began as Baptiste Bouygues trying to recover his father's lavender. The vanilla arrived last, from the sheets of Armenian paper his father carried in a pocket.
Bergamot and marigold open it. Lavandin holds the middle. Tonka, amyris and vanilla settle underneath. ORMAIE, which Baptiste runs with his mother Marie-Lise Jonak in Paris, composes on natural materials only, so the pale green of the liquid is the plant and not a dye.
