Guaiac wood from Paraguay is denser and smokier than cedar, and it is the raw material this is built around.

Aurélien Guichard strengthened it rather than softening it, so Bois d'Ébène reads as a dark ambery wood with nothing rustic about it. Most cedarwood fragrances go either dusty or sharp. This one goes deep.

The house rule is one natural ingredient at the centre and everything else in service of it. Here that ingredient is unmistakeable.
