Trudon Eteignoirs Wick Sniffer Sphere

Blowing a candle out is what causes the smoke, and the smoke is what leaves the room smelling of extinguished wick rather than of the candle.

The Éteignoir solves it. A thin brass hook designed by Pauline Deltour reaches out and presses the wick into the molten wax, which starves the flame without pinching it. No smoke, and the wick stays centred for the next burn.

It is a precision tool disguised as an ornament, and it is the difference between a candle that lasts sixty hours and one that lasts forty.
