The ones who do already know. Five wicks and more than two hundred hours, poured at the Trudon workshop in Normandy into glass made by hand in Tuscany. It stands 21.5 centimetres high and 18 across, the Classic's shape at twice the height.
Rum and bergamot first, then oak, clove and labdanum, then tobacco, leather and amber. Five flames carry it a long way. Trudon says it can be staged inside as well as out. It works on a grand staircase and it works on a terrace, which is a strange pair of rooms for one object to suit.
Sculptural whether it is lit or not.
