The Woodend is built on a bomber jacket line instead. Ribbed collar, cuffs and hem hold the edges the way a blouson does, and the knit itself has enough body to keep a shoulder. 100% merino wool, two working front pockets set flat rather than patched.

Vintage starts before the sun is over the hill and it is cold enough at six that you want something, then warm enough by ten that you do not. On at six, off at ten, back on at four. That is what a cardigan is supposed to do and it is what most of them cannot.
