The drum lifts the grain and softens the hand, so the surface takes light unevenly and picks up the marks of being worn instead of resisting them. Handmade in Verona, quilted into channels so the warmth sits evenly rather than dropping to the hem. Cut close so it disappears under a coat.

Navy is the harder one to find and the easier one to wear. It sits with grey flannel and with denim, which brown does not always manage.
