Ivory denim is a nerve test and 100% cotton is the reason to pass it, because pure cotton takes a pale dye evenly where a stretch blend goes patchy at the stress points.

The Amesbury is relaxed rather than fitted, with gold hardware and contrast topstitching so the construction is visible against the pale ground.
