Vanilla is the most overused note in perfumery and the hardest to rescue from itself.

Yann Vasnier's answer was to treat it as heat rather than as sugar. 45° opens on bergamot, runs through honey and lands on a vanilla that is warm and dry instead of sweet. It reads as skin rather than as dessert, which is the whole reason it works.
